Get inspired by these real Orange tree weddings

Rachel & Matt - Hoby Village Hall

Following their wedding ceremony at the lovely Oakham Castle’s Great Hall, Rachel & Matt’s guested arrived on mass to the quaint Hoby Village Hall, an Orange Tree Weddings Favourite!

They began their afternoon with endless refreshing cocktails as their welcome drinks. With a choice of Mojitos, Godfathers and Hedgerow Fizz’ to get the party started! Mmmmmmm. So hard to choose!

There were more canapes than you could shake a cocktail stick at! But we have always said, the more you eat the more you can drink, right?!

The sun was shining so they could enjoy a canape and cocktail outside in the garden, which had been given the Orange Tree Wedding’s vintage touch, with handmade tassel bunting, day shelters and a vintage lampshade or two.

Inside, the hall looked so inviting. Decorated with giant balloons, bunting and hundreds of twinkling lights, it was just asking for a good party!

The tables featured bespoke table names, wild flowers in jam jars, and macrame and lace details.

There were vintage features a-plenty for the cake table and card case.

With not just one bar to be served by our friendly staff, but two! And both of them were busy from start to finish. These guys knew the real meaning of fun!

Our very own barman ‘Roger’ from Winged Ape in Loughborough, helped us pull many a pint of delicious APA from Charnwood Brewery, a special ale chosen by the Bride and Groom for their big day. We can confirm it was very tasty!

A delicious banquet of a homemade fishcake starter, followed by beef brisket smokehouse-style baps were served to the hungry guests.

And of course there was cake!

The speeches got a little raucous and even featured a little light gambling! We never did quite figure out what everyone was betting on though :)

Our team then quickly worked their ‘changing-rooms’ magic and transformed the room for party-time as the dj set up centre-stage!

The dance-floor didn’t stay empty for long, and you could really feel the love for this cracking pair! Congratulations Rachel & Matt, what an epic day!

Thanks so much to Josie Parr the use of your stunning photographs!

Afternoon Tea for Mark & Louise

Mark & Louise chose Orange Tree Weddings to make their vision of a simple, but charming, afternoon tea become reality.

They chose the pretty Foxton Village Hall as their venue. Following their ceremony, the party turned up to sunny Foxton to be welcomed with a refreshingly fruity welcome drink.

The hall was decorated very modestly to fit with their idea of a relaxed afternoon tea. Bunting and festoon filled the ceiling and their bespoke chalk boards featured pretty floral designs to match their vintage table settings.

They filled their tums with endless sandwiches, cakes and scones washed down with a good ol’ cuppa in real china cups!

They followed their afternoon tea with a glass of fizz and some lovely speeches.

They finished the afternoon off by striking a few poses in the garden for Sarah from Rebecca Dawe Photography

Congratulations Louie & Mark! A couple who share tea and cake together, stick together! <3

Jess & Andy - Foxton Village Hall

Andy and Jess chose our most popular venue for a full day at, Foxton Village Hall, and had their beautiful, relaxed wedding ceremony, followed by a tasty Orange Tree meal and a great party, all under one roof.

Andy arrived ahead of schedule with a beaming smile, (something tells us he was excited!!) to a hall decorated in pastel hues & bunting to give it the quaint, countryside feel they dreamed of.

The main focus for the service was a beautiful ceremony back drop, styled with added foliage to perfectly compliment the room, and featuring a macrame backdrop by Clove & Hitch.

Jess arrived looking gorgeous, and was walked down the aisle, to be married to Andy by the lovely Ruby B gave a warm, unique & personal service as always!

A quick kiss, and it was time to hit the bar!! This was renamed The Nags Head especially for the occasion, and featured some delicious cocktails chosen by the Bride and Groom! And of course the usual delicious ale from Charnwood Brewery.

It was a beautifully sunny summer’s day, and so it was an excellent choice of venue to make the most of the outdoor space, styled by the Orange Tree Team.

Everyone piled outside to relax, be merry, and pose for snaps by photographer Craig Hickey the Orange Tree Weddings ‘Super-Team’ got to work & transformed the room for dinner!!

The Bride and Groom, being massive music fans with eclectic taste, chose a rock music theme for their bespoke table name and seating plan chalk boards!

They ate a filling wedding banquet of Pie ‘n’ mash, prepared by our lovely Orange Tree chef Ian, and then followed the speeches (and of course a prosecco toast!) which raised a giggle or 2!

Post dinner, it was obviously time for a game of football to work off the pie??!! We can honestly say that the team at Orange Tree Weddings have never seen a Bride in goal on her wedding day!

The sun stayed out for Andy & Jess, so the garden was thoroughly enjoyed all evening.

And as the sun started to set, everyone moved inside for the first dance & a good old boogie!

After all, it would have been rude not to for these two mega-music fans!!! Congratulations Andy & Jess. YOU ROCK!

Thanks again to Craig Hickey the use of your awesome photos of the big day!
